Daniel R. Birnbaum is an associate in the Labor & Employment Department of Seyfarth Shaw LLP’s Chicago office, where he is a member of the Workplace Safety and Health (OSHA/MSHA) practice group. Mr. Birnbaum focuses his practice on OSHA regulatory compliance counseling, and workplace safety and whistleblower litigation.
Mr. Birnbaum also has extensive experience representing employers in all aspects of labor and employment counseling and litigation, including traditional labor law, wage and hour and employment discrimination. Mr. Birnbaum has experience litigating in both federal and state court, including class actions, and before administrative agencies.
Mr. Birnbaum also maintains an active pro bono practice. He has assisted a holocaust survivor in obtaining reparations from the German government, counseled small businesses on employment obligations, and helped obtain a favorable outcome for an internet blogger related to free speech rights.
