Daniel Hugh Akers obtained his Bachelor’s degree from the University of New Orleans, where he graduated with a departmental distinction in history (honors) and was a member of the Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi. He thereafter obtained his Juris Doctorate from James E. Rogers College of Law, University of Arizona where he was awarded a position on the Arizona Law Review.
Daniel Akers focuses his practice on Criminal Defense and he ensures to aggressively handle his client’s case with the best approach. He has a proven track record of getting cases dismissed and reaching favourable negotiations on behalf of his clients.
After the completion of his Law degree and his being licensed to practice, Daniel Akers served as an active duty soldier in the United States Army.
After his military service, Daniel Akers joined the Cochise County Public Defender’s Office. Four years later, he accepted an offer to work as a prosecutor with the Cochise County Attorney’s Office.
He worked in the office’s Felony Crimes Unit for seven years and in 2015 he was listed for the Arizona Prosecuting Attorneys’ Advisory Council’s Prosecutor of the Year award.
After his work as a prosecutor, Mr. Akers moved to Maricopa County where he returned to Defense work.
