Mr.Daniel J. Walter represents clients primarily in the areas of partnership and corporate tax, federal and state tax credits and incentives, real estate and corporate transactions, executive compensation and general corporate matters.
He is a Tax Law Specialist, certified by the Louisiana Board of Legal Specialization. Prior to commencing his legal career, he worked as a pension actuary for a major human resources consulting firm and owned and operated a music venue in New Orleans.

Professional and Civic Activities:
Mr. Walter is a guest lecturer for the Music Industry Studies program at Loyola University, and has taught the program’s capstone senior seminar courses. He regularly volunteers at local incubators providing advice to entrepreneurs and small businesses through speaking engagements and office hours.
He also volunteers with the Low Income Taxpayer Clinic and the ELLA (Entertainment Law Legal Assistance) project, assisting clients with various tax issues including tax liens and wage garnishments, negotiating payment plans with tax authorities, and representing clients in the United States Tax Court. Mr. Walter is a member of the American and Louisiana State Bar Associations.
