Daniel Gold has almost 15 years of professional liability experience. He represents clients across a broad range of industries, including accountants, lawyers, professional services firms, business consultants, bankruptcy trustees, creditors, landlords, banks, hedge fund administrators, and insurance companies.
Dan has overseen matters involving the sale of residential and non-residential property, the sale of businesses, commercial lease negotiation, the defense and prosecution of directors and officers, and the closing of operations at commercial properties. In addition, he has handled all aspects of bankruptcy, lien actions, construction litigation, and collection actions.
He has also overseen the negotiations and litigation of employment agreements for corporations and senior executives, as well as premium payments on behalf of insurers and administrative rent payments on behalf of commercial landlords.
Dan develops a custom strategy for each new matter — identifying all potential legal challenges and the best way to defend them as he crafts his argument for court. In both state and federal court, Dan has negotiated cash collateral and debtor-in-possession financing issues, as well as plans of reorganization and liquidation.
He has experience counseling financial institutions and professional services firms dealing with bankruptcy litigation, and also served as a law clerk to the Honorable Paul G. Hyman Jr. in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Florida.
Dan also utilizes his bankruptcy law experience to counsel young adults in college and high school about credit management skills and the consequences of abusing credit.
