Daniel S. Perry is a senior associate who focuses his practice on complex litigation matters. Prior to joining WilmerHale, Mr. Perry was an associate and law clerk at another firm in Palo Alto, California.
In those roles, Mr. Perry assisted patent litigation teams on cases before the US District Courts involving a variety of technologies, including LCD displays, liquid cooling devices, wireless devices and water bottles.
He also prepared and prosecuted patent applications in a variety of electrical and computer technologies, including data streaming, signal processing, data management, machine learning and semiconductors.
In addition, Mr. Perry negotiated and prepared patent license agreements and successfully handled two veterans appeals. In 2012, Mr. Perry was a judicial extern for the Honorable Paul S. Grewal of the United States District Court for the Northern District of California.
While there, he researched case law on a variety of issues including claim construction, patent infringement contentions, copyright infringement, discovery disputes, summary judgment, motions to dismiss, local patent rules and protective orders. The year prior, Mr. Perry was an intern at a law firm in Sunnyvale, California, where he focused on patent and trademark matters.
Before law school, Mr. Perry was a hardware engineer at Teradyne, Inc. He was part of a team that developed automated testing systems for hard drives. Mr. Perry is admitted to practice before the United States Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims.
