Daniel Thiel

Daniel P. Thiel is a litigator with broad experience that cuts across multiple practice areas and industries. He primarily represents insurers in coverage actions involving stranger-originated life insurance policies (STOLI), as well as clients involved in software licensing disputes.

Dan also has in depth experience litigating antitrust cases, particularly “pay for delay” litigation involving pharmaceutical companies, and has also gained experience litigating matters involving toxic tort, telecommunications, product liability, and trade secret disputes.

Dan has represented clients, in all phases of litigation, in actions in state and federal courts across the United States. Dan also dedicates his time to pro bono representation. He has represented a Vietnam War veteran in pursuit of VA pension benefits and he has also assisted an inmate in a parole revocation matter.

Dan earned his undergraduate degree, summa cum laude, from Villanova University. Dan earned his law degree from the University of Pennsylvania Law School, where he was an associate editor of the Journal of Constitutional Law.
