Daniela Cassorla is a member of the firm’s media and entertainment practice. Ms. Cassorla represents a variety of entertainment industry clients, including independent production companies and financial institutions, in an array of media and entertainment transactional matters relating to the production, financing, and distribution of film and television projects.Before joining Akin Gump, Ms. Cassorla worked in business and legal affairs at The Weinstein Company LLC, where she primarily focused on matters involving the international distribution of the studio’s film and television content.
Ms. Cassorla graduated from Fordham University School of Law in 2015. During law school, Ms. Cassorla was a notes and articles editor for the Fordham Intellectual Property, Media and Entertainment Law Journal and founded Fordham’s annual Entertainment Law Symposium as the president of the Fordham Media and Entertainment Law Society. She received her undergraduate degree from Columbia University in 2010, with a Bachelor of Arts in American studies and psychology.
