
Danny Johnson focuses his practice on commercial litigation and regulatory compliance. He is experienced with all stages of litigation, including fact and expert discovery, taking and defending depositions, pre-trial briefing, trial work, and post-trial briefing.
In his compliance practice, Danny has conducted internal investigations related to US and international anti-corruption laws, including the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, UK Bribery Act, and Brazilian Clean Companies Act.
Danny speaks fluent Portuguese, and is active in Steptoe’s Brazil practice. He has represented Brazilian entities in litigation and internal investigations, and has conducted compliance due diligence on Brazilian companies in connection with investment and M&A deals.
Danny participates in Steptoe’s pro bono program and has first-chaired two pro bono custody trials in DC Superior Court. He is also a volunteer attorney for The Washington Legal Clinic for the Homeless.
