Daron Tooch

Daron Tooch specializes in managed care litigation, and has recovered hundreds of millions of dollars for healthcare providers in civil actions and arbitrations against health plans. As a partner in the Healthcare practice, Daron represents hospitals, medical groups, physicians, pharmacies, laboratories, surgery centers, and home health companies in arbitrations in federal and state courts.

With decades of trial experience, Daron has tried over 60 cases before juries, judges and arbitrators in federal, state and administrative courts. In 2017, he obtained the second highest verdict for breach of contract claims in California.

He has represented healthcare providers in class actions, and has recovered millions of dollars against health plans in actions involving retroactive rescissions of patients’ policies.

With more than 25 years of experience in white-collar criminal defense, Daron represents defendants and witnesses in both federal and state white-collar criminal cases.

He has successfully defended entities and individuals in False Claims Act cases, and has conducted numerous internal investigations to determine potential violations of federal and state criminal laws for corporations and individuals either under investigation by the government or to evaluate possible voluntary disclosure.

Daron is an expert in ERISA litigation, and has represented providers in federal and California trial and appeal court actions. He also has extensive experience representing plaintiffs and defendants in general commercial litigation in federal and state courts.

His experience includes contract disputes, commercial torts, unfair business transactions, whistleblower actions, wrongful terminations, sexual harassment actions, real estate disputes, and intellectual property disputes.
