Daryl Leon is an associate in the Labor & Employment Law Department and a member of the Firm’s Employment Litigation & Arbitration and Non-Compete & Trade Secrets Groups. Daryl has experience in managing all aspects of litigation, including taking and defending depositions, motion practice, oral arguments and trials.
His practice focuses on representing employers in state and federal court lawsuits and administrative agency proceedings related to claims of discrimination, harassment, whistleblowing and retaliation.
In addition, Daryl has experience litigating restrictive covenant and trade secret employment matters. He represents clients in a diverse range of industries, including financial services, transportation, retail, manufacturing, professional sports leagues and teams and the public sector.
Prior to joining Proskauer, Daryl was an Assistant Corporation Counsel in the Labor and Employment division of the New York City Law Department. While there, he secured two defense verdicts in jury trials in the Eastern District of New York before Hon.
Jack Weinstein, and won a defense decision before the New York State Division of Human Rights. In addition, Daryl was a judicial intern for Hon. Michael H. Dolinger, United States Magistrate Judge, Southern District of New York and Hon. Robert J. Miller, New York State Supreme Court for Kings County.
