Daryl Takeno is a 2007 graduate of the William S. Richardson School of Law, where he served as Co-Editor-in-Chief of the school’s Asian-Pacific Law & Policy Journal.
Prior to law school, Daryl worked for several years at the public relations department of an electronics firm based in Tokyo and particularly enjoys using his overseas work experience to assist Japanese clients navigate their way through the U.S. legal system.
During his many years studying and working overseas, Daryl developed a deep appreciation for the invaluable contribution of immigrants in fostering cross-cultural understanding and invigorating local economies.
As an immigration attorney, one Daryl’s professional goals is to help guide international students and local employers through the work visa application process.
At the same time, Daryl also strives to help meet the legal needs of under-served populations in Hawaii by taking on immigration-related pro bono cases.
