
David B. Mammel is the owner and principal attorney of Mammel Law based in Troy, Michigan. He holds the license to practice law in both Indiana and Michigan states. He also serves as a Special Fiduciary at the Oakland County Probate Court.
He has a rich experience of 23 years in the practice of areas such as estate planning, Correctional Law, wills, guardianships & conservatorships, trusts, probate, medical malpractice defense, real estate transactions & litigation, Medical & Financial Power of Attorneys, and civil rights lawsuits.
He is committed to educating people on estate planning issues such as limiting taxes, providing loved ones with care & assets, and establishing health care protocols. He holds the membership of the Indiana State Bar, the American Bar Association, and the State Bar of Michigan as well as its Probate and Estate Planning Section.

The Institute of Continuing Legal Education and the Probate and Estate Planning Section of the State Bar of Michigan has issued a Certificate of Completion in the areas of Probate and Estate Planning to him.
He is a robust defense litigator and has obtained dismissals or “no cause” jury verdicts while defending many lawsuits.
He attended the Indiana University School of Law in Bloomington to obtain his Juris Doctorate in the year 1994. He was a member of the Trial Team and Delta Theta Phi, a Law & Sports Society while studying there.
He passed the bar exam and earned the license to practice law in the state of Indiana in 1995 along with permission to appear before the United States Northern & Southern District Courts of Indiana.
After obtaining his law degree, he worked as an associate with the law firms Bruce P. Clarke & Associates and D’Agostini, Able & Ruggierri during 1995 – 2000 and 2000 – 2001 respectively.
He obtained the license to practice law before all the state and federal courts in Michigan as well as the U.S. Eastern & Western District Courts of Michigan in the year 2000.
He joined Chapman and Associates in 2001 as a shareholder and senior attorney at its Michigan office and served the clients in Troy and Detroit areas until 2014.
He went on to establish David B. Mammel PLLC, also called Mammel Law in March 2015. He helps his clients gain and maintain control of your life and finances by creating custom estate and business plans.
His clients include Entrepreneurs, Established Business Owners, Newlyweds, Young Families, New Parents, Recently Divorced Adults, Blended Families, and Retirees.

He believes in giving back to the community and has served as the president of the Lutheran Church of the Redeemer in Birmingham, Michigan for two years.
David Mammel also works as the Elder at the Lutheran Church of the Redeemer and on the board of directors of the Westmaple Nursery School as well as the Glen Eden Cemetery since 2002, 2005 and 2014 respectively.
