David Draigh’s practice is complex commercial litigation, with a focus on appellate advocacy and defending companies against consumer class actions. In the trial courts he has won notable victories for his clients, including for a cable television provider in numerous consumer class actions and commercial disputes; for law firms in legal malpractice actions and SEC investigations; for a corporate special committee investigating a shareholder derivative action; for a European corporation investigating a whistleblower complaint of unethical business practices; and for a European foundation named in multiple litigations in the US and Europe in an international trusts and estates dispute.
David has also won notable victories for his clients in the appellate courts, including for real estate developers battling lawsuits filed by purchasers of condominium units in the wake of the 2008 crash in the real estate market; for a cable television operator in both commercial disputes and in consumer class actions; for a state utility in a challenge to rate increases for the construction of nuclear power facilities; for financial institutions in consumer class action and lender liability matters; and for an individual defending foreign assets from the jurisdiction of the Florida state courts.
