Mr. Nixon has been an attorney for 33 years. He practices primarily in the areas of taxation, business entities, estate planning, bankruptcy and commercial litigation.
He is admitted to practice before all State Courts in Arkansas and Oklahoma, U. S. District Courts and Bankruptcy Courts for the Eastern and Western Districts of Arkansas, U. S. Courts of Appeals for the Eighth and Tenth Circuits, U. S. Tax Court and U.S. Supreme Court
He holds an undergraduate degree in accounting, with honors, from the University of Kentucky. He was president of Beta Alpha Psi Honorary Accounting fraternity.
In 1983, he received his Juris Doctorate degree, with honors, from Oklahoma City School of Law, having made the Dean’s list every semester.
Mr. Nixon served for 12 years as an Arkansas Commissioner with the National Uniform Laws Commission, served as a Special Justice for the Arkansas Supreme Court, and served for six years on the Board of Directors of the Northwest Arkansas Children’s Shelter.
He has been a Mediator with the Arkansas Farmer/Creditor Mediation Program since 1990.
He is a member of various professional committees, organization, and charities, including the Christian Legal Society and The Gideons International, serves on the Fayetteville National Cemetery Council and is a Trail Life USA Troop Leader with Mission Boulevard Baptist Church in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
Mr. Nixon is often called upon to speak on topics of business entities, business planning, taxation and estate planning.
