David Grant Crooks is an experienced trial lawyer who handles a wide range of issues. Some of his recent litigation matters have included : Commercial real estate disputes, Adverse possession claims, Fiduciary breaches, Wrongful foreclosures, Business and personal torts, Representation of the unsecured creditors committee in Chapter 11 proceedings, Securities.
David’s approach to litigation employs a mixture of logic, reason and creativity to prevail for his clients in the most cost-effective manner possible. In addition to defending and prosecuting legal actions, David also routinely provides risk assessments and counsels clients on preventive measures aimed at avoiding litigation altogether.
Clients also note David’s responsiveness and knowledge of the matter at hand, saying, “the level of genuine care that he displays toward us is exceptional. He is extremely knowledgeable about business litigation and is always willing to find a cost-effective solution that works within our budget.”

Prior to joining the firm, David was a shareholder at David & Goodman, P.C. During his time in law school, David co-managed pro bono legal aid to local artists and musicians in the Austin, Texas area and played for the renowned Legal Eagles intramural football team at the University of Texas Law School under the tutelage of the legendary Charles Alan Wright.
While in college, David studied at two Australian universities and attended a program in international business and law in Innsbruck, Austria. He was also a member of the varsity football and rugby teams at Wesleyan University.
David currently serves as outside general counsel to the Greenhill School Alumni Board. In his personal time, he enjoys SCUBA diving, alpine skiing and training in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.
