
David E. Hengstler is a partner at Sheppard Mullin Richter & Hampton LLP, is a member of the firm’s Finance and Bankruptcy Practice Group, and specializes in real estate and commercial finance transactions.
Mr. Hengstler has significant experience handling a broad range of financing transactions, including secured and unsecured credit facilities, joint ventures, bond financings, subscription facilities, syndicated facilities and related issues, letters of credit and other credit enhancements, derivative products, real property secured transactions, asset-based accounts, inventory and equipment financing transactions, equipment leasing transactions and project finance transactions.
He has been involved in negotiating and documenting lines of credit secured by a variety of collateral, including accounts, stock, securities accounts, inventory, equipment and real estate, construction loans, and letters of credit. He also has experience representing lenders in connection with equity investments in various real property related ventures as well as experience in general real estate matters.
While his practice is focused primarily on transaction planning and documentation on behalf of lender clients, he has substantial experience with loan workouts and the related aspects of financial transactions.
