Phoenix Criminal Defense Lawyer David Kephart was born and raised in Kansas and is yet another transplant to Arizona.
While growing up, his family was very active in his church and his parents impressed upon him strong Christian values and morals, and also taught him the value of hard work and dedication.
With this principled upbringing as his foundation, Defense Attorney David Kephart has always strived to help others and his community.
Upon graduating high school, Mr. Kephart attended Kansas State University in Manhattan, Kansas. While at K-State, he continued to be active in school and community activities.
In his third year at K-State, Mr. Kephart entered the Finance degree track and majored in Corporate Financial Management. In order to pay for college, Phoenix Criminal Defense Lawyer David Kephart worked full-time and was still able to graduate near the top of his class.
Mr. Kephart’s professors encouraged jim to continue in a masters or doctoral program in Finance, but Law seemed to be his true calling.
Soon after graduating from K-State, Mr. Kephart was accepted into Arizona State University College of Law.
While at the College of Law, he was actively involved in numerous organizations, and took president and vice-president positions in several.
After working for the Public Defender’s Office for nearly three years, Phoenix Criminal Defense Lawyer David Kephart decided to enter private practice and worked for a small criminal defense firm in Chandler.
He was quickly elevated to the level of partner and took on a significant portion of that firm’s serious and complex criminal cases. Mr. Kephart also created an appellate practice which expanded the firms ability to effectively represent their clients.
After two years in private practice, Phoenix Criminal Defense Lawyer David Kephart decided to create the Law Office of David Jameson Kephart, PLLC so he could focus his skills and compassion on diligently and competently representing his clients.
It was after working large case loads as a Public Defender and constantly chasing the dime in private practice, that Mr. Kephart realized that he wanted to change the way he practiced law.
