
David P. Billings joined Fabian VanCott in 2016, bringing with him extensive experience representing clients in complex civil litigation and appeals, including precedent-setting bankruptcy proceedings representing the unsecured creditors committee of the Yellowstone Mountain Club in Montana.
His expertise was recognized by his peers when he was named as one of Utah Business Magazine’s 2018 Utah Legal Elite in the area of Bankruptcy/Workout and when he was asked to lead a panel on lender liability claims before, during, and after bankruptcy at the 2014 Utah Bar Summer Convention.
Beyond bankruptcy, David’s practice has also included a wide variety of consumer finance litigation involving foreclosure, deficiency, the Truth in Lending Act, Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act, public and private loan modification programs, and HOAs.
He has also handled numerous complex commercial litigation matters involving lending, loan workouts, wrongful liens, mining, trucking, medical devices, medical malpractice, product liability, easement disputes, condemnation, and election law.
