David has been representing physicians in all aspects of their professional endeavors for more than 26 years, including in connection with their relationships with area hospitals. He handles issues involving medical staff bylaws, healthcare mergers and acquisitions, entity formation and dissolution, and the preparation of sophisticated business agreements.
These agreements include, but are not limited to, operating, partnership, buy-sell, purchase and sale, joint venture, management, employment and independent contractor agreements, as well as letters of intent, opinion letters and advice memoranda.
David’s healthcare experience entails setting up ambulatory surgical centers, imaging centers, and joint ventures to own sophisticated equipment, such as PET scanners, MRIs and CTs, as well as developing corporate compliance plans and physician recruitment agreements.
David has a deep knowledge of the complexities of Medicare fraud and abuse, false claims and reimbursement issues, Stark requirements, and the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).
