Dr. David S. Surry prepares and prosecutes patent applications and has experience in patent litigation, opinion work and due diligence investigations. David has worked in a wide variety of technical fields including pharmaceuticals, catalysts, adhesives, roofing products, tires, catalytic convertors and polymers.
Prior to his legal career David held a research fellowship from the Royal Commission for the Exhibition of 1851 at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. His work focused on the development of novel metal-based catalysts with applications relating to pharmaceuticals and organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs).
He has published over a dozen papers in peer-reviewed journals and these have garnered thousands of citations in the scientific literature. David has presented his research at international conferences and is a named inventor on a U.S. patent.
