
David L. Walker partners with clients to grow and protect their intellectual assets and optimize their patent portfolios. He has particular expertise in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries.
Drawing from a background that includes post-graduate research and attaining an advanced degree in molecular biology, Dave is adept at understanding the technical aspects of intellectual assets in various specialties, including small molecule pharmaceuticals, nucleic acids, genetically modified organisms, antibodies, proteomics, cell-based therapeutics and clean technology.
He also has an insider’s view of the challenges innovators face in cultivating and protecting their intellectual property. Dave represents clients in all aspects of patent prosecution, including : Patent procurement, Portfolio management, Due diligence investigations relating to venture capital, partnering, and mergers and acquisitions.
Dave enjoys cycling and water sports of all kinds. He also enjoys cooking and wine tasting. Outside of those hobbies, Dave enjoys spending time with his wife and two kids.
