David M. Zacks is a Mediator/Arbitrator at Zacks Resolution, a neutral at JAMS ADR, and a retired partner at Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton LLP. He believes in early intervention. He specializes in getting disputes resolved using techniques he has learned over the past 45 years as a trial lawyer and a neutral. His approach is different. He listens. He seeks common ground. He is passionate to find closure for the parties.
He is known as the “go-to” guy for solving complex issues and has become a trusted advisor to numerous clients throughout the country. He brings great value to his clients with his wealth of experience and unique ability to bring clarity and real solutions to complex situations.
David is a member of American College of Civil Trial Mediators, certified arbitrator and mediator with the American Health Lawyers Association. He has been selected as a member of the CPR Panel of Distinguished Neutrals. Additionally, he was selected to be a member of the CPR Healthcare and Life Science panel.
David is a Founding Member of the Georgia Academy of Mediators and Arbitrators and was named 2013 “Atlanta Lawyer of the Year” in the area of Mediation by The Best Lawyers in America®. He was recognized in The Best Lawyers in America® for Alternative Dispute Resolution, Health Care Law and Personal Injury Litigation in 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017.
David is fortunate to have served as national chair of the American Cancer Society, the largest not-for-profit in the country and one of the oldest, largest and most effective voluntary health agencies in the world. He has defended international companies in “bet the company” cases, and he has served as lead counsel for plaintiffs in multimillion dollar catastrophic injury and wrongful death cases.
David is a past member of the Kilpatrick Townsend executive committee. Prior to joining the firm, David served as a Captain and certified military judge in the Judge Advocate General’s Corps of the United States Army where he successfully defended a captain in a My Lai related trial.
