Debra J. Braselton, founding attorney of the Law Firm of Debra J. Braselton, P.C., has built her entire professional life helping families.
After obtaining her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in nursing from Rush University, Debra was a nurse midwife at a large teaching hospital in Chicago for many years.
Debra graduated from Loyola University Chicago School of Law and was admitted to the bar in Illinois in 1994.
She was one of the first Illinois attorneys trained in collaborative law and has made collaborative divorce a centerpiece of her work as an attorney since 2001.
Debra is a member of the Illinois State and DuPage County bar associations and is appointed by the Illinois Supreme Court to serve as a hearing panel chair on the Attorney Registration and Disciplinary Commission.
Debra has served as court-appointed mediator and guardian ad litem in scores of cases in DuPage and Kane counties.
