For more than two decades, Debra S. Summers has provided legal counsel to Silicon Valley’s leading technology and growth companies with respect to their real estate and environmental matters. In 2013, Debra retired as a partner at Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati, where she chaired the firm’s real estate and environmental practice, and specialized in leasing, facility design, construction, financing and development, sale lease-backs, synthetic financings, and environmental compliance and violation resolution.
She also has extensive experience in corporate financings, equipment leasing, leveraged buy-outs, and corporate mergers and acquisitions. Her practice was multi-state and international in scope.
Debra has appeared and prevailed before the California Supreme Court (Citizens for Covenant Compliance v. Anderson, 1996) and has served as an adjunct professor for the University of California at Berkeley’s Environmental Certification Program. She is a well-known speaker on real estate and environmental issues.
