Denise A. Golumbaski has focused on providing accurate, efficient, and cost-effective representation to patent and trade secret litigation clients in the area of electronic discovery for over ten years. She serves clients across multiple practice areas and industries, with significant experience assisting pioneer pharmaceutical companies with Abbreviated New Drug Applications (ANDA) litigation.
Denise’s practice focuses on patent and trade secret litigation in federal court and before the U.S. International Trade Commission (ITC), including U.S. District Court litigation on behalf of pioneer pharmaceutical companies regarding ANDA under the Hatch-Waxman Act.
She has significant experience in the area of electronic discovery, assisting with the management of large-scale document review and production projects, supervision of contract attorney teams, and preparation of withheld document logs.
Denise assists with multiple aspects of pre-trial preparation, such as conducting legal and fact research, preparing research memoranda, drafting motions and briefs, and assisting with deposition preparation.
Denise devotes time to pro bono matters, assisting military veterans with claims before the U.S. Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims. In law school, Denise was a Dean’s Fellow in the Civil Practice Clinic and a Note and Comment Editor of the Administrative Law Review.
She also served as a research assistant in copyright law to Professor Peter Jaszi at the American University Washington College of Law, researching state copyright law protection for sound recordings.
Prior to law school, Denise was a SAS® programmer for over a decade. She served as a research and data analyst with the U.S. Department of Justice compiling federal prisoner population statistics and in the mortgage banking industry illustrating trends in loan performance.
