In 1996, Denise graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Florida. She then went on to graduate cum laude with a Juris Doctor from the University of Florida Frederic C. Levin College of Law in 1999.
Denise brought her passion for the law and passion for helping others together to Legal Aid Service of Broward County where she worked as an attorney for the Senior Citizen Law Project. During this time Denise was able to help some of the most vulnerable part of the population during times of stress and difficulty, taking her clients step-by-step through whatever legal matter may have arisen.
Eventually Denise ventured out as a sole practitioner, representing clients in the areas of marital and family law, real estate and immigration.
An educator at heart, she uses each case as a time to educate her clients regarding the law and their rights. Denise takes great pride in her background as a schoolteacher. From 2001-2004 Denise was offered, and she gladly accepted, the opportunity to teach. She was able to begin a Law Studies program teaching high school students in the area of the law, and training them to participate in Mock Trial competitions. She even frequently encounters some of her former students, now attorneys, in the courthouse.
She feels blessed to be married to her high school sweetheart and to be able to work daily by his side. As a mother of 3, her downtime is spent enjoying her family, traveling and reading.
