Derek Dominguez

Derek Dominguez is an associate with Hughes Socol Piers Resnick & Dym, Ltd. He practices in the areas of plaintiff’s personal injury, workers’ compensation, and criminal defense. He joined the firm in 2018. Mr. Dominguez is a superb and accomplished trial attorney.

As a former Wisconsin State’s Attorney, Mr. Dominguez successfully prosecuted over two thousand criminal cases including many serious felonies like sexual assault, burglary, kidnapping, manufacturing or delivering drugs, possession of child pornography, embezzlement, and armed robbery.

He has argued in hundreds of contested criminal hearings, countless trials to the court, and twenty-one jury trials. In November 2016, Mr. Dominguez secured a guilty verdict following a three-day jury trial for a violent armed robbery.

Mr. Dominguez has also litigated several successful appellate cases in the Wisconsin Court of Appeals. He brings his skill and experience to every case with the firm. He is a native of Orland Park, Illinois. He enjoys running marathons and spending time with family and friends.
