Diane M. Kwitoski has dedicated her career to helping people. Early in her legal career, she was a partner in a large law practice in metro Detroit, working in Worker’s Compensation and Disability benefits. She left this firm to go into solo practice, and has been representing Claimants before the Social Security Administration ever since.
Diane has been a past chairperson and council member of both the State Bar of Michigan Social Security Lawyer’s Section and the Worker’s Compensation Section. In 2008, she was appointed by Governor Granholm as a Commissioner of the Worker’s Compensation Qualifications Advisory Committee.
Diane has represented clients before the Federal District Court in Michigan and 6th Circuit Court of Appeals and has obtained many favorable decisions for her clients at these levels. She is admitted to practice in these courts. For many years, Diane was a board member of the Lula Belle Stewart Center, Inc. for social services and welfare in the Detroit area. She is a regular speaker at conferences and guest speaker at local law schools.
Diane attended Michigan State University and Michigan State University School of Law. She is a member of the National Organization of Social Security Claimant’s Representatives and State Bar of Michigan Social Security Lawyers Section, which she previously chaired. She is admitted to practice in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan and at the 6th Circuit Court of Appeals.
