Before establishing his law firm in 2010, he worked as a corporate attorney for the law firm Schulte Roth & Zabel LLP in New York City during 2008 – 2010. He has also served as a Judicial Clerk for the Nebraska Supreme Court as well as the Superior Court of the U.S. Virgin Islands.
He had started working a Legislative Assistant for U.S. Representative David Price even before law school. He managed a portfolio of issues including tax and small business while working there during 2001 – 2003.
He attended the Drake University and graduated summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa with a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and History in 1999. He started attending the University of Nebraska at Lincoln and received his master’s degree in Political Science in 2001. He went on to obtain his Juris Doctorate from Georgetown University Law Center in Washington, D.C in 2006.
