Douglas Young has over three decades of experience working on domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions, debt and equity financings and restructurings. Prior to joining the Firm, Mr. Young served as partner in White & Case and Brobeck, Phleger & Harrison in San Francisco.
He was also an associate in San Francisco and New York with Shearman & Sterling and a foreign assistant in London with Allen & Overy. Mr. Young has been repeatedly recognized as a leader in his field by Super Lawyers and Best Lawyers in America.
Mr. Young represents US and non-US buyers and sellers in US and cross-border M&A transactions over a wide range of structures. He also represents private equity and venture capital investors and their portfolio companies in buy-out and investment transactions and in recapitalizations and debt restructurings.
Mr. Young has worked extensively for US and non-US financial institutions, borrowers and issuers in financing transactions, including real estate and leveraged acquisition loans, letter of credit facilities, lease financings and securitizations, as well as securities financings structured as senior, subordinated and convertible note issuances and venture capital investments.
