
Douglas K. Scheller was born and raised in Boston, MA. For his undergraduate studies, Mr. Scheller attended the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, where he received his B.A. degree in Political Science and Legal Studies.
After college, Mr. Scheller spent a year working as a captain at multiple yacht clubs before pursuing his lifelong goal of becoming a lawyer. Mr. Scheller chose to attend Tulane University Law School in New Orleans, LA. During law school, Mr. Scheller served as a student attorney for the Civil Litigation Clinic where he assisted plaintiffs in civil rights cases.
As a student attorney Mr. Scheller successfully argued a motion for summary judgment against the state in front of the Louisiana State Court in a case involving disability retirement benefits. In addition, Mr. Scheller served as managing editor of the Tulane Journal of International and Comparative Law, and President of the Tulane Maritime Law Society.
While attending Tulane University Law School, Mr. Scheller clerked for Judge Theresa Wright of the Wareham District Court in the summer of 2015. Mr. Scheller clerked for the Bohm Law Group in the summer of 2016. After graduating from Tulane University Law School in 2017, Mr. Scheller returned to the Bohm Law Group with a Certificate of Specialization in Admiralty and Maritime Law.
Outside of the courtroom, Mr. Scheller can be found on the water, as he is an avid sailor and boater. He also enjoys cheering on his hometown Boston teams in football, basketball, and baseball.
