Drew E. Moore is an associate and business lawyer with Foley & Lardner LLP. He is a member of the firm’s Finance & Financial Institutions and Health Care Finance Practices. His practice focuses on public finance and health care finance, including related securities and tax matters.
Mr. Moore has served as lead associate on various transactions involving senior living facilities, hospitals and other health care facilities, charter schools, colleges and universities, and other 501(c)(3) organizations in the roles of bond counsel, underwriter’s counsel and borrower’s counsel.
He also regularly serves as bank counsel in tax-exempt governmental equipment lease transactions involving the acquisition of essential equipment or energy savings infrastructure by various local governmental entities.
During law school, Mr. Moore was a summer associate with Foley providing support in the area of business law, specifically public finance and real estate.
He also was a legal intern for the Office of the State Attorney for the Eighth Judicial Circuit in Gainesville, Florida and the Office of the State Attorney for the Second Judicial Circuit in Tallahassee, Florida.
Prior to law school, Mr. Moore worked in county government for ten years, including five years as a special victims detective with a sheriff’s office in Florida.
Mr. Moore earned his law degree from the University of Florida Levin College of Law (J.D., 2016), where he was a research editor for the Florida Law Review, vice-president of the UF Law Criminal Law Association, a pupil member of the James C. Adkins, Jr. Chapter of the American Inns of Court, and a Pro Bono Service Certificate recipient.
Mr. Moore is a graduate of the University of Florida Warrington College of Business Administration, where he earned his bachelor of science in business administration (B.S.B.A., 2012).
Mr. Moore is admitted to practice in Florida. He is also a member of the Jacksonville Bar Association and the National Association of Bond Lawyers.
