Edward J. Hayes’s practice involves commercial litigation with a particular emphasis on real estate. Co-Chair of the firm’s Title Insurance Defense Group, Ed is recognized as one of the premier title insurance attorneys in Pennsylvania and handles related disputes on behalf of : title insurance companies, title insurance agents, insureds.
A former academic All-American baseball player, Ed also serves as Co-Chair of the firm’s Sports & Entertainment Law Group, which provides full service representation to athletes, including :
- contract negotiation
- handling endorsement opportunities
- protecting the right of publicity
- business and real estate representation
Ed regularly lectures to title insurance groups on issues of importance to both insurers and title agents. He also speaks on behalf of the Pennsylvania Bar Institute on real estate issues and ethics. Ed is a trainer on quiet title litigation and mentors volunteer attorneys for the Philadelphia Volunteer for the Indigent Program (VIP).
