Edward Hernandez attended the University of Notre Dame, graduating with a Bachelor’s of Business Administration degree in 2002. After working for a few years, he then returned to pursue his legal education at the Notre Dame Law School and graduated in 2007.
Immediately upon graduation, Edward passed both the Texas and New Mexico State bar examinations. He began his professional career as a lawyer with one of the largest personal injury firms in Western Texas and New Mexico that operated offices in Lubbock (his hometown) and Odessa, Texas and Las Cruces, Hobbs and Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Edward worked throughout both states as a full time litigator for several years with that firm gaining invaluable experience on multi-million dollar oilfield injury and 18-wheeler cases.
Approximately five years after focusing solely on personal injury and wrongful death cases, Edward joined the largest law firm in Southern New Mexico located in Las Cruces, NM. Being on the New Mexico-Texas Border permitted Edward to continue to work as a full time litigator with clients located in both states.
Edward expanded his areas of practice into commercial, construction, governmental and insurance litigation while maintaining an injury and wrongful death caseload.
Clients will appreciate Edward’s forthrightness and dedication to their causes. Edward practices general civil litigation, family law, personal injury, commercial and construction litigation at the firm.
Edward is a former Golden Gloves champion who dedicates much of his off time to mentoring at-risk youth. He began participating in gang prevention programs as a teenager and continues to do so today.
Through the sport of boxing, Edward helps young adults develop confidence, discipline, and respect for self and others that transcends the boxing ring into everyday life. Edward looks forward to participating in the firm’s commitment to building a better community in Victoria and the surrounding areas.
