Elaine C. Tapp

Elaine Tapp is a senior associate with Alston & Bird’s Corporate Transactions & Securities Group. Elaine represents public and private companies and private equity funds in a broad range of corporate and transactional matters, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, corporate finance, outsourcing, and general corporate matters.

Before joining Alston & Bird, Elaine was an associate in the New York office of two leading international law firms, a research specialist at the SEC’s Division of Investment Management and an analyst at a leading Asia-focused private equity and venture capital firm in Silicon Valley and Hong Kong.

Elaine received her J.D. from Harvard Law School and her B.A. in international relations from Stanford University, where she graduated with honors and distinction and was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa.
