Elizabeth Buckel is a senior associate in Alston & Bird’s New York office and a member of the Litigation & Trial Practice Group. Elizabeth focuses her practice on general commercial litigation, with an emphasis on complex financial services and securities litigation in state and federal courts. She also represents global financial institutions and multinational corporations in investigations before state and federal regulatory agencies.
Additionally, Elizabeth maintains an active pro bono practice, working with Sanctuary for Families to represent domestic violence victims in civil proceedings. Elizabeth received her J.D. in 2013 from Georgetown University, where she served as the senior notes editor of the Georgetown Journal of International Law.
Before attending law school, Elizabeth was an investment banking analyst in the global energy and power group at Bank of America Merrill Lynch. Elizabeth received a Bachelor of Science in Foreign Service, cum laude, in international political economy from Georgetown University in 2008.
