
Elizabeth Marie Henderson is an immigration associate in the Austin office. She practices U.S. employment-based immigration law, representing individuals and corporate clients before the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, U.S. Department of Labor, U.S. Customs and Border Protection, and U.S. Department of State.
Prior to joining Ogletree Deakins, Elizabeth worked as an attorney at a Toronto-based law firm where she managed a high volume of PERM labor certification applications as well as immigrant and nonimmigrant petitions for a Fortune 100 client in the IT industry.
She has successfully responded to PERM audit requests from the U.S. Department of Labor and submitted requests for reconsideration and requests for review to the Board of Alien Labor Certification Appeals (BALCA).
She has extensive experience with immigrant petitions and permanent residency applications for individuals of extraordinary ability, outstanding researchers, multinational managers, as well as skilled and unskilled workers, and foreign investors.
Elizabeth also has extensive experience with a wide range of nonimmigrant visa categories, including intracompany transferees (L-1A and L-1B), specialty occupation professionals (H-1B and E-3), NAFTA professionals (TN), treaty traders (E-1), treaty investors (E-2), individuals of extraordinary ability (O-1), and culturally unique artists and entertainers (P-3).
