Elizabeth O’Neal is a partner with Smith, Welch, Webb & White, LLC and works out of our Jackson office. Elizabeth’s practice focuses on Adoption, Divorce and Family Law issues, as well as juvenile law, probate, and general civil litigation.
Elizabeth is experienced in a wide array of family law matters, including divorce, child custody, child support, modification of custody, visitation, and child support, legitimation, and contempt.
She works to develop meaningful relationships with her clients and opposing counsel, and believes that a calm and reasonable approach to the practice of law is essential to successful resolution of domestic cases. In addition to her private clients, Elizabeth serves as the Assistant Solicitor for the City of Griffin and the City of Jackson.
Elizabeth, a Griffin, Georgia native, earned her B.S. in Psychology from Georgia College & State University in 2003. She attended Mercer University, Walter F. George School of Law where she was a member of the Moot Court Board and earned the James C. Estes Award for excellence in trial advocacy.
She earned her Juris Doctor degree and a certificate in Advanced Legal Writing, Research and Drafting in 2011. Elizabeth was admitted to the Georgia Bar in 2011 and began as an associate with Smith, Welch, Webb & White, LLC at that time.
Elizabeth is a past-president of the Henry County Bar Association and has been involved in both Butts and Henry Counties United Way Programs. She is on the State Bar of Georgia Finance Committee and the Investigative Panel for the State Bar Disciplinary Board. She is also a member of the Jackson-Butts County Rotary Club and on the board for the Morning Glory Garden Club in Griffin where she lives with her husband, John
