Elizabeth A. Purcell focuses her practice on complex litigation matters, including internal and government investigations. Prior to rejoining the firm, Ms. Purcell clerked for the Honorable Henry F. Floyd of the US Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit and for the Honorable Roger W. Titus of the US District Court for the District of Maryland.
Ms. Purcell previously worked at the firm as a summer associate. While attending Georgetown University Law Center, she worked as a student attorney in the school’s Appellate Litigation Clinic, where she assisted with matters related to the Religious Land Use and Institutionalized Persons Act, First Amendment and Eighth Amendment.
She also served as an appellate staff legal intern in the US Department of Justice’s Civil Division, and as a judicial intern for the Honorable Colleen McMahon of the US District Court for the Southern District of New York.
Ms. Purcell is admitted to practice in the District of Columbia, New York, the US Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit and the US District Court for the District of Maryland.
