Noteworthy work includes:

  • Representing Universal Entertainment Corp., a large Japanese gaming machine manufacturer, and its subsidiary, Aruze USA, Inc. in Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA)-related litigation brought by Wynn Resorts Ltd., and in related parallel actions. The case involved one of the first examples of a private party alleging FCPA violations as a method to gain the upper hand in a battle for corporate control
  • Representing an autistic former inmate in a precedent-setting federal civil rights action against state prison officials and government entities, which addresses the effect of solitary confinement and other disciplinary measures on inmates with autism and other disabilities.

These matters have involved extensive document discovery, depositions, and motions practice.

Ms. Bailey serves on the board of directors for Gifts for the Homeless, Inc. in Washington, D.C. Prior to joining Buckley Sandler, Ms. Bailey was an alternative dispute resolution law clerk in private practice.

Following law school, Ms. Bailey clerked for the Honorable James Lawrence King of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida. Prior to attending law school, Ms. Bailey worked in the personal office of a U.S. senator as Director of Grants and Special Projects.

Ms. Bailey received her J.D. from Harvard Law School in 2012, where she served as Assistant Managing Editor of the Harvard Civil Rights–Civil Liberties Law Review. She received her A.B. from Princeton University (magna cum laude) in 2004.
