Ellen Saunig, an associate in the firm’s Hartford office, counsels employers, insurers, and third-party administrators in workers’ compensation matters and represents them before the Connecticut Workers’ Compensation Commission.
She regularly litigates claims involving accidental injury, repetitive trauma, and apportionment across a wide variety of workplaces and industries throughout Connecticut.
In addition to her workers’ compensation experience, Ellen draws on several years of experience as an attorney with the U.S. Federal Labor Relations Authority in Washington, D.C. and Boston where she focused on labor law, as well as experience in life insurance regulatory matters with the Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Company.
After earning her bachelor’s at the University of Virginia, Ellen attended the Catholic University of America, Columbus School of Law where she was a staff editor and editorial assistant on the Catholic University Law Review. While in law school, she gained additional experience through internships with the U.S. Department of Labor, U.S. Department of Transportation, and a Washington, D.C. law firm.
