Emily C. Ayvazian represents individuals and corporations in the insurance industry. Her experience includes defending breach of contract actions brought against insurance companies in both state and federal court. A zealous advocate for her clients, Emily strategically evaluates the matter at hand in order to provide simple, tailored solutions for each client.
She handles all aspects of litigation, including investigations through pre-trial discovery, motion practice, and negotiated settlements. Further, Emily works with her clients to ensure they are prepared for depositions, mediations, and if necessary, trial.
As a former Assistant District Attorney for the Bronx County District Attorney’s Office, Emily also has extensive criminal litigation experience. While there, she handled violent felony cases from indictment to trial. In addition, Emily wrote and successfully argued an appellate brief before the New York Appellate Division, First Judicial Department.
During law school, Emily was a legal intern with The Innocence Project in New York and the United States Attorney’s Office, Eastern District of New York. As a student, she was also involved in a number of organizations and activities, including serving as the Executive Editor for the Cardozo Journal of Law and Gender.
