Emily A. Battersby is an associate in the Structured Finance and Derivatives practice at the New York office of Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP.
Her practice focuses on securitization and other structured financial products, including structuring domestic and cross-border commercial paper-funded securitization vehicles and securitizing commercial loans, auto loans, rental car fleets, credit card receivables, collateralized loans and other financial assets. She also has experience with derivatives including credit derivatives, FX and interest rate swaps, and total return swaps.
Prior to joining the Firm, Ms. Battersby was an associate in a corporate restructuring group, advising a variety of clients in complex business reorganizations, debt restructurings and insolvency matters.
Ms. Battersby served as the judicial law clerk to the Honorable Novalyn L. Winfield, United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of New Jersey from 2011 to 2012.
