Emily P. Mattingly is an Associate in Stoll Keenon Ogden’s Louisville office and has been with the firm since 2014. She is a member of the Business Litigation practice group, representing a wide range of companies from small, locally-owned businesses to Fortune 500 companies in various business disputes, including breach of contract and negligence actions.
She is also a member of the Construction Law and Tort Trial & Insurance Services practice groups. In addition to her litigation experience, Emily has experience in providing external in-house services to clients, which provides her with a unique perspective with respect to client relations and understanding the needs and operations of the clients SKO serves.
In that role, Emily provides review of various contracts, master service agreements, confidentiality and non-disclosure agreements, staffing agreements, and real estate leases for the client in business negotiations with a variety of customers, vendors and consultants.
From a litigation perspective, Emily responds to claims on behalf of the client, advises as to strategy and procedure in disputes with customers, vendors and employees, and coordinates the litigation process internally for the client. Emily also addresses human resources and employment-related disputes, such as analyzing claims under the ADA and FMLA as well as responding to EEOC charges and investigating claims.
Emily is a member of the Louisville and Kentucky Bar Associations. Fueled by a passion for children, Emily is currently serving on the Board of Directors for City Schoolhouse, a local Montessori school in the Portland neighborhood with a mission to strengthen children and families by empowering them through active and individualized education, fostering a love of learning, and renewing the community.
Emily has also raised funds for and organized a team to walk in the March of Dimes, March for Babies Walk since 2016, and she is currently serving on the March for Babies’ Executive Leadership Team. Emily enjoys spending time with her husband, Clint, and their two sons, Noah and Simon.
