
Emily Y. Rottmann focuses on complex commercial litigation, real estate litigation, and financial services cases. Emily is experienced in representing large and small clients in state and federal trial and appellate courts handling a broad array of business litigation matters. Her experience includes serving as legal intern with Duke Energy Corporation for two summers.
While earning her law degree from Wake Forest University School of Law, Emily received CALI Excellence for the Future Awards in Appellate Advocacy, Professional Responsibility, and Risk Regulation Law and Policy.
She was also awarded the Wake Forest Law Alumni Council Scholarship. As an undergraduate, Emily was awarded the Class of 1968 President’s Scholarship at the Georgia Institute of Technology.
EXPERIENCE :
- Represents several sophisticated clients in a variety of real property litigation matters including commercial foreclosures, quiet title actions, land use, and easement disputes.
- Acts as escalation counsel for large banking institution handling a variety of issues concerning mortgage servicing litigation and other high exposure issues.
- Represents several large banking institutions in state and federal court, including defense of Telephone Consumer Protection Act and other related claims.
- Represents Class I railroad in a variety of complex litigation matters, including real estate litigation and contract disputes.
