Emma R.W. Blaser is an associate in the firm’s eCommerce, Privacy, and Cybersecurity Group, where she focuses her practice on privacy, data security, and transportation policy matters. She represents clients from the advertising, telecommunications, financial services, data services, and automotive industries.
Emma provides counsel on compliance with a variety of laws and regulations, including the Telephone Consumer Protection Act, the Telemarketing Sales Rule, the Controlling the Assault of Non-Solicited Pornography and Marketing Act, the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act, the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act, and their state analogs.
Emma represents client interests before federal and state authorities regarding administrative, investigative, legislative, regulatory rulemaking, and enforcement, including at the Federal Trade Commission, the Federal Communications Commission, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, and various other federal and state agencies and commissions.
Emma also counsels clients with respect to developments and guidance from federal and state regulatory authorities regarding connected technologies, including autonomous vehicles.
Prior to attending law school, Emma was a legislative aide to Rep. Emanuel Cleaver II. She focused primarily on health care, education, and telecommunications.
