Tucson tax lawyer and Arizona Certified Public Accountant Eric Button has been advocating for clients for more than 25 years.
He received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a major in Finance from the University of Arizona in 1989.
That same year he began work at Allied Signal Aerospace in Tucson as a Cost Accountant where he successfully defended his division’s progress payment system against the government’s Defense Contract Audit Agency.
During his tenure at Allied, he worked as a tax compliance specialist and led the formation of the annual $120 million operating budget. Eric left Allied at the request of a colleague, who asked Eric to join him at Burr Brown, Inc. a major electronics firm.
When the firm was bought out be Texas Instruments, Eric realized it was time for him to fulfill his lifelong dream of becoming a lawyer. So, in August 1998 he entered the James E. Rogers College of Law at the University of Arizona.
During law school Eric continued to hone his business and tax skills and knowledge. During his third year of law school Eric was hired as Tax Manager for a major mining company, beginning his string of significant victories against the IRS and Arizona Department of Revenue.
One project he and his team worked on resulted in a refund so large it had to be approved by the Congressional Joint Committee on Taxation. In 2005, Eric struck out on his own to focus on Tax Problem Resolution.
He has helped countless individuals and small business with their tax issues. He is a licensed Certified Public Accountant and Attorney at Law.
He is also a member of the American Society of Tax Problem Solvers, National Society of Tax Professionals, National Society of Accountants, Tucson Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys, and is admitted to practice before all Arizona courts and the United States Tax Court.
