Eric J. Sorenson Jr. has more than 23 years of experience representing and advising companies and individuals throughout Virginia in the areas of business, corporate, securities, banking, and health care law.
He has extensive experience with business clients in industries including banking, consumer products, health care, higher education, and manufacturing.
Rick has represented private, public, and nonprofit entities in mergers and acquisitions and has represented a publicly traded company in a follow-on stock offering. He handles regulatory issues, business formations, mergers and acquisitions, sales, loans and financing transactions, contracts, and workouts.
Rick is a cum laude graduate of the Washington and Lee University School of Law, where he served as administrative editor of the Washington and Lee Law Review.
Rick joined Edmunds & Williams in 1994. He became part of the Woods Rogers’ team of attorneys when the two firms merged in October of 2016.
Rick lives in Lynchburg with his wife, Sarah, and their three children, Sallie, Jack, and Aggie. He is an avid runner and his hobbies include photography and reading.
