
Eric S. Olson is a partner at Eisenberg Gilchrist & Cutt. He graduated from the University of Utah College of Law and currently focuses on personal injury and insurance law.
He handles cases involving motor vehicle and trucking accidents, sports injuries, defective products, construction accidents, medical malpractice, dog bite, premises liability, wrongful death, insurance bad faith and other accident cases.
Mr. Olson has successfully handled cases involving different types of injuries, including brain injury, bone fractures, paralysis, burns, scarring, amputation, disk herniation, ligament injury, chronic pain and other serious injuries.
He has successfully litigated cases throughout Utah and in other parts of the United States, including California, Nevada, Idaho, Wyoming, Colorado, Minnesota, and Maryland, where he has represented injured people against many large insurance companies, corporations, and government entities.
Mr. Olson has successfully tried, arbitrated, and settled many cases, obtaining six and seven figure jury verdicts for clients. Most recently, he tried a case in which two individuals drowned in a river because of a man-made hazard.
He represented the families of the individuals who drowned and brought the case against the defendants who were responsible for different aspects of the hazard. After a six day trial, the jury found that the defendants were negligent and that damages were $2,411,052.
In addition to recovering compensation for the families, Mr. Olson convinced some of the defendants to take measures to remedy the hazard.
