Erin Lucas Hamilton focuses her practice on general commercial litigation, representing both plaintiffs and defendants in the full range of disputes affecting business, such as those involving commercial contracts, shareholder disputes, corporate governance, employment matters, insurance coverage and various tort-based claims.
Erin represents businesses in a wide variety of industries including energy/natural resources, engineering, aviation, banking, construction and technology industries and has significant experience in the specific fields of aviation disaster litigation, lender liability defense and construction litigation. She represents regional, national and international clients in both state and federal courts, as well as in arbitration.
Erin also currently serves as the Editor-in-Chief of the Pittsburgh Legal Journal and the Lawyers Journal. Erin is actively involved in the community, volunteering as a pro bono attorney for Neighborhood Legal Services Association and serving on the Young Professional Advisory Board for the Emmaus Community of Pittsburgh, an organization that provides permanent homes, respite care and advocacy for adults with intellectual disabilities and autism.
Additionally, Erin serves on the Board of Trustees for the Early Learning Institute. She is appointed as a Fellow in the Allegheny County Bar Foundation and a Young Lawyer Fellow in the Pennsylvania Bar Foundation.
